GTT UK

The front end engineering design stage is underway and is expected to complete in 2022. This will then be followed by construction of the plant, with commercial production expected to commence in 2025. As the project continues, further updates will be posted on the news section.

Plant location

The GTT plant is planned to be located at the Thames Enterprise Park located on the former Coryton oil refinery site on the banks of the River Thames in Thurrock. It will join other businesses on the manufacturing, energy and logistics super-hub.

The Alberta-Taciuk pyrolysis process is provided by the Mining Technologies business unit of thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions which has proven technological expertise and decades of global experience in engineering.

Petrofac, a leading international service provider to the energy industry, is undertaking the front-end engineering design of the plant and is working with GTT UK to develop a turn-key engineering, procurement and construction contract for the construction phase.
